As the policy holder you are required to prove the full extent of your loss and support it with the appropriate documentation. When our firm handles your claim we will:

  • Evaluate if the item is repairable or destroyed.
  • Identify and physically “dig” through debris on site.
  • Describe items on an inventory list
  •  Apply valuations to the item with regards to A.C.V, R.C.V and F.M.V. as needed.
  • Determine the proper depreciation if applicable by your policy.
  • The typical content claim is usually thousands of items.

 

DOCUMENTATION OF THE HOME STRUCTURE:

A comprehensive and detailed damage appraisal to the structure is the duty of the homeowner. When our firm handles your claim we will:

  •           Evaluate what procedures are appropriate and fitting for the damaged structure.
  •           Determine the dollar amount of damage  to the building.
  •           Apply proper valuations with regard to R.C.V, A.C.V etc.

All necessary documentation of the claim will be presented to your insurance company. This starts the examination and negotiation process.
